Graphic Designer & Photographer
Founder & Executive Director of Stay Arts

I am a Guatemalan-American graphic designer, photographer, and community arts leader based in Long Beach, California.

I was raised in Southeast Los Angeles and Downey, where my creative practice began through graffiti, photography, and early design work rooted in local music, art, and community spaces. Over time, that foundation expanded into a broader creative path that includes graphic design, photography, website design, videography, and creative production.

As a teenager, I worked under the name GABEONE, focusing on event photography, flyer design, and mixed-media projects. I later attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising while continuing to build a full-time creative career alongside my studies.

In 2012, I founded Stay Arts, a nonprofit organization rooted in arts education, community art programs, and creative projects. The organization emerged from a desire to increase access to arts spaces and opportunities in Southeast Los Angeles. Over the years, I have helped shape its programs, partnerships, exhibitions, and public-facing voice, work that continues to influence how I think about art, design, and community storytelling.

In 2017, I launched Estevan Studio as a framework for my independent design and photography work. Through that chapter, I collaborated with public agencies, nonprofits, small businesses, and political organizations on brand identities, marketing campaigns, photography, and digital and print assets. My work has spanned civic projects, hospitality, editorial photography, urban documentation, and campaign design.

Alongside my creative practice, I have remained engaged in local history and civic life, serving on boards and committees focused on preservation, downtown revitalization, and cultural programming in Downey.

Today, this site functions as a personal archive — a place to document creative work, collaborations, and projects that reflect my evolving practice over time. While the structure of my professional work has changed, my connection to art, design, and community remains constant.
